Ezekiel 1-3 - Ezekiel was a prophet among the exiled, in Babylon, 6th cent. B.C. He is 25-30 years old, a contemporary of Jeremiah, and comes from a priestly family. Speaking primarily to exiles, he is relevant to those in Judah. The prophecy is centered around the destruction of Jerusalem (586 B.C). Since there are visions,metaphors, and allegory, this requires careful studying.
