Romans 1:16-32 | Good News & Bad News
The Book of Romans begins with Good News—Jesus Christ came and paid the price for our sins so that we might spend eternity in His presence. But before we can fully grasp the Good News, we must first understand the Bad News—we are all sinners, and apart from God, we have no righteousness of our own.
God could not simply dismiss our sins. A judge who lets the guilty go free is not righteous. Instead, God established a righteous basis for forgiveness—He paid the price Himself through Jesus Christ. That’s the Good News!
No matter how deep your sin, God’s grace is deeper. "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) Confess, believe, and receive His forgiveness—all unrighteousness is cleansed in Him!
