Barriers to Faith in Jesus

Paster Gary Salm

About this video:
Barriers to Faith in Jesus Matthew 13:53-58 Everyone has a hometown. Jesus did too. His (earthly) supposed father was well known. We know him as Joseph. He’s called “The carpenter” implying that in the small town of Nazareth, if you needed a carpenter, you had one man to call. Being well known had its draw backs; everyone knows your business and your past. Jesus, the illegitimate son of Mary and Joseph was preaching now and performing miracles. How dare he? The hometown folks could not believe in him. Revealed in their unbelief are many things that attack our faith as well. Overcoming those barriers will help our faith to grow. Take a contrarian look with me at today’s text and learn what not to do regarding saving faith in Jesus. May God bless as we learn together.
